Round Two of the YOTA Contest

The second round of the Youngsters on The Air (YOTA) Contest will be held on Saturday, July 20, starting at 1000 UTC. The objective of the event is to increase the amount of ham radio youth activities. The contest is organized by IARU Region 1 Youth Working Group, in cooperation with the Hungarian Radio Amateur Society. For more information, visit the YOTA website at .

 

2024 CQ World Wide VHF Contest

The 2024 CQ World Wide VHF Contest begins at 1800 UTC on Saturday, July 20 and concludes at 2100 UTC on Sunday, July 21. All amateur radio frequencies on 50 MHz (6 meters) and 144 MHz (2 meters) may be used as authorized by local law and license class. There are single operator, multioperator, QRP hilltopper and rover categories available to participants. For complete rules, visit .

 

North American QSO Party- RTTY

The North American QSO Party (NAQP)- RTTY begins at 1800 UTC on Saturday, July 20 and concludes at 0559 UTC on Sunday, July 21. The NAQP contests are fun, friendly and fast paced. The exchange is your name and state, Canadian province, or DXCC entity. Rules, results, and records are available on the National Contest Journal website at .

2024 ARRL Field Day Entry Deadline Approaching

The entry deadline for the 2024 ARRL Field Day is Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2059 UTC. Participants should check the Entries Received web page at to verify that their entry has been accepted and that there’s no additional documentation required to complete the entry. If the status is listed as “pending documents,” then additional information is needed to complete the entry. Corrections or additions to Field Day entries can be made by using the link provided in the confirmation email received when the entry was submitted.

The registration deadline for the 2024 International EME Conference is Friday, July 19. This year’s conference will be held on August 9 – 11, 2024 in Trenton, New Jersey, and will be the largest EME focused conference hosted in the US in the past 12 years. 2023 California QSO Party Video Challenge

Fifteen videos from the 2023 California QSO Party (CQP) Video Challenge have been posted to . In 2023, CQP participants were asked to submit videos of their operations to be judged in the challenge. The winner of the 2023 challenge was Doris Wong, K0BEE, for her video of the K6T operation in Tehama County. The 2024 CQP will be held on October 5 and 6.
